I love the set "Night in Bethlehem" WM144809/CM145282 and the coordinating Edgelits Dies (144676) as released by Stampin' Up!  I made an order of 20 cards, different colours, and added Mary and Joseph on half of them....

Stampin' Up! Carols of Christmas & Card Front Builder

Hello and welcome to another Christmas card post.  Today's feature is a simple but stunning layout using Carol's of Christmas and the coordinating dies.

A Crafty Cat:  Stampin' Up! Carols of Christmas
On an embossed Cherry Cobbler base card, the feature piece of Very Vanilla, is stamped in Soft Suede using "Music Sheet".  Over the top of that, the greeting  "Carols of Christmas" is stamped in Real Red...  The mat was then cut using the frame die from the "Card front builder" die set...
A Crafty Cat:  Stampin' Up! Carols of Christmas
The trees were cut out of Pear Pizzaz and Tranquil Tide, sponged in Old Olive for contrast and depth.
A Crafty Cat:  Stampin' Up! Carols of Christmas
But it looks amazing if you keep it simple - no sponging and no embossing but a coordinating ribbon...

A Crafty Cat:  Stampin' Up! Carols of Christmas
the trees were raised using Dimensionals...
A Crafty Cat:  Stampin' Up! Carols of Christmas

Stampin' Up! Christmas Cards - fussy cutting a decorative edge

Fussy cutting a decorative edge and using a coordinating Designer Series Paper to highlight your stamping looks great!  These are some examples from the classes I held in December...

A Crafty Cat: Stampin' Up! Fussy Cutting
Above the feature stamp was Flurry of Wishes and below the ever fun Cookie Cutter Christmas

A Crafty Cat: Stampin' Up! Fussy Cutting
The main image/s were stamped then masked and the rest of the images stamped over the masking...

A Crafty Cat: Stampin' Up! Fussy Cutting
The edge of the stamping was then fussy cut - optional as to if you leave a border or not...

A Crafty Cat: Stampin' Up! Fussy Cutting
